I used LastPass for the past few months, while it was great I just couldn't justify spending $36 just to use my Yubikey. $10 at BW gave me my Yubikey but also the awesomeness of being able to self-host the instance holding, securing, and syncing my password database.
I used KeePass prior to that and it was perfect as an offline wallet but I was constantly finding myself not using it because of how much effort it was to keep an updated copy on all my devices.
If I have one grudge against BitWarden though it would have to be the choice of using MSSQL as the database, like seriously? This may be the anti-Microsoft in me talking but I would have preferred the use of Postgresql or even MySQL/Maria over MSSQL. Otoh It does do the job pretty well so maybe I shouldn't knock it so hard.
@eleix Yes, I have been a premium user of Bitwarden for a year now, and I have been very happy with it.
@hack13 I immediately fell in love with the fact that you can enable 2FA (like Google Auth) and not have to jump into another app just to get the code, it puts the current code in your clipboard.
I've been burned a few times from phones that shit the bed on me, losing access to accounts because of it. I grew reluctant to re-enable some of them again but thanks to this I don't have to worry about that anymore 😁
