Learning to say No and not being a doormat

I am way too nice for my own good. I have no clue how to tell people no and realize that unless I do something to correct that I'm just gonna crash in the worst way possible.

How can I do this without the least bit of guilt? Cause right now any time I tell people no I feel extremely guilty for not helping them.

@eleix I know this feeling myself. You have to learn that it does hurt a bit when you say and a few days after, but you have to realize if you did help how much worse off you could be. I ended up the hospital from stress from not saying no enough... So don't end up learning the hard way.

@hack13 That is a fair point, and I really don't want to end up in the hospital so feeling guilt sounds a lot better than the alternative.

@eleix yeah it's not fun. I never thought it would come to that... I'm not a dramatic person, I thought panic attacks only are things of drama or heavy anxiety... However, then it happened to me.
